The Melting Pot
The world as we have come to know it has become a blend of individuals. Society seems to resemble that famous bowl of chili and the individuals who live in it are the spices. I was asked by a young lady I was attempting to court what my mother would think about her race. This intrigued me. I was almost certain that my mothers "old country" views would disapprove, but should that affect my judgement? These idealistic views of races belong with only there race is dying quickly. Second generation families, such as myself, strongly beleive that love is just as blind as our justice system and does not see color or race. As I have indicated from my first blog, I am an advocate beleiver in truth. The truth in this matter is that when it comes to love, I am as color blind as my dog Deuce.

Egypt...."Reason gas is so high?"
I heard two people talking in the background... "Damn egyptians.....the shit over there is the reason gas is so high!" Really, are people that narrow mined. Gas or oil I should say does not come from Egypt and the small amount it does produce is used locally. The dilema here is that people are just dumbasses! Stop saying things you have no real fact to back it up. I would have challenged these individuals to an intellecutal debate, I would have been wasting my time. Obviously they have no clue to what is going on in the real world!

The Cin in Cinema
Sitting in class with a friend of mine, we began to discuss that concepts of cinema. What ever happened to orginal screenplay? It seems now a days movies that are released are being adapted from old comic books and british tv shows! Now dont get me wrong, I am a huge fan of the Marvel Comics i.e Spider Man and even the Office but orginal screenplay has almost become a thing of the past. I advise you my readers, to look back at last years releases and notice how many remakes and adaptaions have been revised and place into the theathers. At $10.50 a show, do you not beleive we deserve bettter?

The National Anthem......kind of.
As I enjoyed a cig outside of my class, I heard someone singing the national anthem. The problem is it was the wrong anthem. Now I know what you are thinking, wrong anthem? Yes, this individual was singing the Russian national anthem. Now my name is Saddam. I was born and raised in the United States. Never once have I questioned my citizenship or my country. This invidiual actual mad me upset. Being that I am an articulate person I asked if he knew the U.S national anthem, and he calmly look at me and said "no." With further questioning I asked if he was born in the U.S. and he said "yes." I found myslef being more upset by the moment. Is this act a slap in the face of our country? Or is this simply part of our constitutional right? I'll let you be the judge.

The "A" in rab....
The truth is that I am an Arab American...woooo...there i said it!!! The irony in this is that I see nothing wrong with the way America has handled "us" since 9-11. Looking back at history, every race in this country has seen its share of dismay. The Natives of this land had it the worst. Then blacks were brought over and degradedfor centuries. Irish men and women who imigarted here also had a strong backlash in the mist of the early 20th century. The Japanese Americans who lived in this country were put into camps as WW2 perceded. In no way shape or form do I resent how Americans or in that fact the government has acted, in all actuality I applaud it.
